Burbank, Burroughs Post League Victories

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ tennis team swept visiting Pasadena, 18-0, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
No. 1 singles player Adam Ridaoui and No. 2 Amrith Kodumuri each earned a clean sheet with a trio of 6-0 victories while No. 3 Raphael Lazaryev swept his sets, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0. The No. 1 doubles team of Minjae Kim and David Petrosyan (6-1, 6-0, 6-0) and the No. 2 tandem of Dominic Aleman and Edouard Oganesian (6-3, 6-0, 6-1) each swept. The No. 3 duo of Blake Lewis and Vamsi Chintha won a set, 6-1. Chintha alternated for Desmond McNeill and the new duo won 6-1 before Pasadena forfeited the third set.
The Bulldogs will host Glendale for a league match on Tuesday, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta on April 13.

BURROUGHS

The Bears defeated visiting Hoover High of Glendale, 15-2, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
No. 1 singles player Bernard Woods swept 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, while No. 2 Michael Fraser (6-1, 6-1) and No. 3 Zachary Barry (7-5, 6-2) each won a pair of sets. The No. 1 doubles team of Vivek Bhakta and Kaian Bates won a pair of sets, 6-1, 6-0, before alternating with Jaden Chapman and Julian Lundberg, who won 6-3. The No. 2 tandem of Sean Konkle and Bevan Maxwell won a pair of sets, 6-1, 6-0, before alternating with Theodore Pynchon and Niyanth Mahesh, who won 6-0. The No. 3 duo of Paul Vu and Miles Howell won a pair of sets, 6-1, 6-0, before alternating with Ari Pathak and Jacob Hughes, who won a set 7-6.
JBHS will host Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta for a league match on Tuesday, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Pasadena on April 18.
