Bulldogs Finish 3-3 at Malibu Tournament

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ volleyball team competed in the Malibu Tournament last week and finished with a 3-3 record.
The Bulldogs opened the tournament with three straight wins against Le Lycee High of Los Angeles, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12; San Marino, 22-25, 25-10, 15-12; and Hemet, 26-28, 25-20, 15-10. Burbank was winless on the second day of tournament play after falling to Bell Gardens, 25-22, 25-17; Golden Valley High of Santa Clarita, 25-17, 25-18; and Chaminade High of West Hills, 25-22, 25-22. Individual statistics were not reported to the Burbank Leader.
The Bulldogs (7-12 overall, 0-2 in league) will host Burroughs for a league match on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. before visiting Arcadia on April 11.

BURROUGHS

The Bears have been idle since narrowly losing a five-set Pacific League match at Arcadia, 15-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 15-12, on March 16.
JBHS recently competed in a league contest against Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta; the result was after the Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. Burroughs (3-6 overall, 0-1 in league) will visit Burbank for a league matchup on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
