Burbank High School’s varsity boys’ basketball head coach Sid Cooke has stepped down from his position mid-season. “We appreciate all that Coach Sid has done to help build the boys basketball program,” Burbank Athletic Director Patrick McMenamin said. “Unfortunately at this time, our school will be going in a different direction.” Interim head coach Michael Lance will take over Cooke’s former position effective immediately. Lance is a Burbank graduate and a science teacher at the school.
