Bulldogs Blank Muir; Bears Tie Hoover

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team picked up its first Pacific League win after routing visiting Muir High of Pasadena, 3-0, on Tuesday.
Senior Gabriel Mier scored the deciding goal in the 35th minute while senior Giancarlos Vitery Suman and junior Bryan Juarez each added a goal in the 62nd and 78th minutes, respectively.
The Bulldogs previously lost their league opener at Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta, 3-0.
Burbank (5-3 overall, 1-1 in league) will visit Hoover High in Glendale for a league matchup on Thursday, Dec. 22, at 3:30 p.m.

BURROUGHS

Burroughs High School sophomore Alex Loera scored one goal as the Bears tied Hoover High of Glendale, 2-2, in a Pacific League game.

Junior Joseph Earl and sophomore Danny Pascual were selected to the all-tournament team following the conclusion of the 29th Ralph Brandt Tournament at Burroughs High last weekend.
The Bears (4-3-1 overall, 0-1-1 in league) will visit Pasadena for a league matchup on Thursday, Dec. 22, at 3:30 p.m.
