Bulldogs Fall to Arcadia, 54-0

The Burbank High School varsity football team was blanked in a Pacific-Upper League game by visiting Arcadia, 54-0, last Friday.
Senior Dylan Robinson completed five passes for 80 yards, made a 30-yard reception and added three tackles on defense. Sophomore quarterback Daniel Zacariaz completed six passes for 104 yards, while senior Zakk Estrada made six catches for 130 yards. Junior Jacob Mendieta rushed for 46 yards on 13 carries, while junior Justin Lee rushed for 11 yards on one carry.
Senior Ben Forster had one reception for 11 yards, while sophomore Ezekiel Alvarez and junior Jake Reyes each made one catch for 7 and 6 yards, respectively.
Senior Evan Miller registered seven tackles, juniors Sean-Carter Garrett and Marcus Ojeil each recorded four tackles, and junior Daniel Luga had three tackles and a sack for a loss of 11 yards. Senior Jarrett Bose, senior Mher Sahakyan, senior Rene Harris, senior Francois Taillefer and junior Brandon Elizalde each made two tackles, while juniors Levon Bakmazian and Salim Alaiya each had one tackle.
The Bulldogs hosted Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta on Friday; the game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. Burbank (2-5 overall, 0-2 in league) will visit Muir High in Pasadena (3-4, 2-0) on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m.
