Police were called to the scene of a hate crime in the 4200 block of Riverside Drive at 1:40 p.m. on April 3. The suspect was arrested after shouting racial slurs and violently assaulting the victim, police said. The suspect was held on $50,000 bail.

A driver was arrested for DUI after their vehicle struck a tree on Angeleno Avenue at about midnight on April 5. Police said the driver showed obvious signs of intoxication.

Officers were flagged down by a pedestrian who reported domestic violence in the 4000 block of Sunset Canyon Drive at about 1 a.m. on April 6. After investigating, police determined that a drunk man had struck his girlfriend. The man was arrested.
