Applications Open for Sustainable Burbank Commission

The Burbank city clerk’s office is accepting applications for the Sustainable Burbank Commission beginning this week through Friday, May 10, at 5 p.m.

The Sustainable Burbank Commission acts as an advisory board to the City Council to establish policy on sustainability practices including waste management, water and power conservation, forestry and more. Board members also engage directly with members of the Burbank community and provide community support for advancing policy initiatives and programs.

Applications should be submitted online by visiting burbankca.gov/bccapplication.

Alternatively, applications can be picked up from the city clerk’s office located in City Hall at 275 E. Olive Ave., on the first floor. Completed applications may be submitted online, mailed or dropped off. There can be no late postmarks and the city will not make exceptions for late submittals.

The City Council is tentatively scheduled to make the appointment at the June 4 City Council meeting. All board, commission and committee members serve without compensation from the city. No individual shall serve on more than one board, commission or committee at the same time.

For more information, contact the city clerk’s office by calling (818) 238-5851 or emailing Cityclerks@burbankca.gov.
