Marymount Proves Too Much for Burbank

The Burbank High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost at Marymount High in Los Angeles 9-3 in a nonleague game on Dec. 8.

Angela Khachikyan racked up 20 saves, two steals, one goal and one assist, while Elizabeth Bislamyan tallied two goals and two steals. Melanie Hayrapetian finished with four steals, Kristina Khamtrashyan contributed one steal and one assist, and Natalie Bislamyan had one steal.

The Bulldogs (1-4 overall) finished competing in the Chino Hills Tournament on Dec. 16 and visits Hoover High in Glendale for its Pacific League opener on Dec. 21 at 3:45 p.m.

BURROUGHS

The Bears have not been in the pool since its 13-7 loss to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge in a nonleague game on Dec. 5.

Burroughs (2-3 overall) concluded its Chino Hills Tournament run on Dec. 16 and will visit Arcadia for its Pacific League opener on Dec. 21 at 3:45 p.m.
