Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police were contacted by a woman who reported that her boyfriend had physically assaulted her and deprived her of leaving their home at 2:25 a.m. on Nov. 4. The man was arrested for domestic violence and depriving a person of personal liberty. He was placed on $20,000 bail.

A reckless driving incident occurred in the 1100 block of North Maple Street at 6:26 a.m. on Nov. 3. Officers were dispatched after receiving reports of a reckless driver racing and driving on sidewalks. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but it allegedly failed to yield. Officers did not pursue the vehicle but were later dispatched regarding the same vehicle driving recklessly at about 9 a.m. Again, they attempted to stop the vehicle and it failed to yield. The driver was ultimately apprehended and booked on felony evading charges.

A man was arrested in the 1400 block of Olive Avenue after he allegedly shattered the glass front door of the Social Security Administration building with a rock at 7:40 a.m. on Oct. 30. The man was located and apprehended by BPD and was placed on unspecified bail.
