Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers responded to a report of domestic violence at 8:50 a.m. on July 3. A female victim suffered a laceration to her head, causing hospitalization. A male suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. He was apprehended and placed on $50,000 bail.

Police detained a man in the 1000 block of Verdugo Avenue at 5:30 a.m. on June 27. He was suspected of being involved in a burglary and admitted to being in possession of paraphernalia and methamphetamine. He was subsequently arrested on drug charges and was placed on $1,000 bail.

Witnesses contacted police regarding a man wearing dark clothing and a large jacket, looking into windows in a closed business district near Magnolia Avenue and Maple Avenue at 12:31 a.m. on June 29. He was contacted by police and found to be in possession of someone else’s EBT card, a large, concealed dagger, a large-capacity firearm magazine and methamphetamine.

Officers attempted to stop a woman allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said that the woman sped away at a high rate of speed at about 3 a.m. on June 30. She was eventually apprehended and arrested near the Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Station. Her bail was set at $30,000.

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man after officers observed a running vehicle parked illegally near Victory Boulevard and Olive Avenue at 2:21 a.m. on June 28. The driver was allegedly slumped over the steering wheel with cans of computer duster in his lap and throughout the vehicle. Further investigation by police led to the driver being arrested for DUI and an outstanding warrant. He was placed on $15,000 bail.

A woman was arrested after she allegedly struck her husband with an object that impacted his head and arm. She was booked on domestic violence charges at 3 p.m. on July 1.

A Walmart employee was arrested at the Walmart in the 1300 block of North Victory Place at 6:45 p.m. on July 2, after managers said he stole over $2,000 worth of currency from the store over the course of two weeks.
