Online Auction to Benefit Burroughs’ Music Program

The John Burroughs High School Instrumental Music Association Booster Club is hosting an online auction now through March 10 to support the school’s music program.
The auction features an assortment of tickets to Southern California attractions, art and collectibles, gift cards for restaurants and music lessons, various spa treatments and more. The full catalog of available items can be found at biddingowl.com/JBHSIMA.
There are more than 50 items and services available to purchase ― many at or below retail value. In addition to admission to attractions across the Southland, such as Universal Studios, the Huntington and the Aquarium of the Pacific, there are plenty of donated items and experiences from those in the Burbank community, including:
• Signed artwork by award-winning illustrator Brian Kesinger
• Private music lessons from Music Junction
• A complimentary haircut by Alyssa at Oscar’s Barber Shop
• A laser session for the face at Skin & Beauty Center
• A gift certificate for lessons at Guitar Ninjas
For those able to, there are an additional 20 opportunities included in the auction to directly sponsor the purchase of a new musical instrument, a trip for a student musician to participate in a performance, or replacement of the 30-year-old marching band uniforms.
“We are extremely fortunate to live in a community like Burbank that values education and the opportunities it provides for students,” said Kiersten Walker, JBHS IMA online auction chair. “There are businesses and individuals that generously provided tickets, collectibles and experiences to us so that we could offer them to those both within and outside the IMA. This is a great opportunity for people both around Burbank and throughout Southern California to bid on some great things and feel great while doing it.”
The JBHS Instrumental Music Association Booster Club Inc. is a nonprofit organization. For more information about the program and how to support it, visit jbhsima.org.
