Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police were contacted regarding a woman screaming and throwing objects at 3:40 a.m. on Feb. 21 near Magnolia Boulevard and Keystone Street. Officers identified the woman from a previous call and confirmed that there was an existing warrant out for her arrest. She was arrested for the warrant and for being in possession of narcotics. Her bail was set at $1,000.

Officers responded to multiple calls regarding two occupants of a black Hyundai sedan parked in front of a USPS curbside mailbox on Olive Avenue and Lake Street at 12:33 p.m. on Feb. 24. The two suspects were allegedly using tools to fish mail out of the mailboxes. Officers located the vehicle leaving the area and initiated a traffic stop. They observed a large amount of mail in plain view, with several of the items having different addresses. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested for identity theft and placed on $50,000 bail.

Officers were contacted by BevMo loss prevention staff when a man and woman allegedly burglarized the store, located on Empire Avenue, by force. At about 5 p.m. on Feb. 27, witnesses alleged the suspects stole $4,799 worth of alcohol. Officers quickly located the suspects, and recovered a firearm and stolen merchandise from their vehicle. They were arrested for felony firearm possession and placed on $50,000 bail.
