Boys’ tennis: Bulldogs Beat CVHS; Bears Lose to Flintridge Prep

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ tennis team defeated visiting Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta, 15-3, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
No.1 singles player Adam Ridaoui and No. 2 Amrith Kodumuri each earned clean sheets with 6-0 scores while No. 3 Raphael Lazaryev (6-1, 6-2, 6-3) and the No. 1 doubles team of David Petrosyan and Minjae Kim (6-4, 6-0, 6-3) each added sweeps of their own. The No. 2 tandem of Edouard Oganesian and Dominic Aleman won a pair of sets, 6-0, 6-4, while the No. 3 duo of Vamsi Chintha and Blake Lewis added a 7-5 victory.
The Bulldogs (4-0 overall and in league) will host Burroughs High of Burbank for a league match on Tuesday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Hoover High in Glendale on March 9.

BURROUGHS


The Bears lost to visiting Flintridge Prep, 13-5, in a nonleague matchup on Tuesday.
No. 1 singles player Bernard Woods (6-1), No. 2 Michael Fraser (6-0) and No. 3 Paul Vu (6-2) each won a set. Meanwhile, the No. 2 doubles team of Bevan Maxwell and Sean Konkle (6-2), and the No. 3 tandem of Miles Howell and Ari Pathak (7-5) each added a victory.
JBHS (2-2 overall, 2-1 in league) will visit Burbank for a league match on Tuesday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Arcadia on March 9.
