The Burroughs High School girls’ softball team received a berth into the state regional playoffs, Coach Doug Nicol said.
The Bears (22-10 record), who were defeated by Temple City two weeks ago in the CIF-SS Division IV semifinals, will receive an at-large berth. It marks the first time JBHS will compete in the state tournament.
The CIF State Office will announce the playoff pairings on Sunday, with first-round games scheduled for this Tuesday at 4 p.m.
- Round 1 — Tuesday, May 31 at 4:00 p.m. at Host Schools.
- Regional Semifinals — Thursday, June 2 at 4:00 p.m. at Host Schools.
- Regional Championships — Saturday, June 4 at 4:00 p.m. at Host Schools.
