Paul Goodwin, loving brother and uncle, was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 15, 1944, and came to Burbank, which he called home for the rest of his 78 years.

Paul attended grammar school at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in North Hollywood, California, and he graduated from John Burroughs High School, in Burbank, California, in 1963.

Paul started working for the city of Burbank right out of high school. He was there for 48 years, until he was injured on the job and had to retire. He really wanted to make it to 50.

Paul served in Vietnam, driving a gasoline tanker truck 7 miles from the DMZ.  He was brought home from Vietnam before the end of his tour because of the death of his father, and went back to work at the city of Burbank.

Paul passed away March 23, 2022, at his home in Burbank.

Paul is survived by his brother, Tom, and sister-in-law, Colleen; niece, Shannon; brother-in-law, Gordon; nephew, Tim, and nieces, Terrie and Tina; along with great-nieces and nephew and several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 21 at Valley Funeral Home, 2121 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank. A funeral Mass will be held at noon April 22 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,10800 Moorpark St., North Hollywood. Paul will be laid to rest at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
