Burbank Baseball Suffers Setbacks to Begin Campaign

The Burbank High School varsity baseball team lost to visiting La Cañada 21-1 in a nonleague game on Feb. 13.

The Bulldogs were shut out by visiting Village Christian High of Sun Valley 3-0 in their season opener on Feb. 10. Individual statistics were not reported to the Burbank Leader.

Burbank (0-2 overall) will visit Canyon High in Santa Clarita for a nonleague game on Feb. 21 at 3:15 p.m. before hosting St. Genevieve High of Panorama City on Feb. 24.

BURROUGHS

The Bears opened the regular season at San Marino on Feb. 16; the Dave Moore Tournament game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.

Burroughs will host Covina for a nonleague game on Feb. 20 before resuming tournament play on Feb. 22 and 24.
