Aguilar Scores Hat Trick in Rout

The Burroughs High School varsity girls’ soccer team routed visiting Hoover High of Glendale 9-0 in a Pacific League match on Dec. 21 as senior Nadia Aguilar scored a hat trick.

Freshman Isabella Estrada registered two goals, while sophomore Samantha Sizemore tallied two assists and one goal. Junior Quiana Laughlin contributed one goal and one assist, while junior Vivian Wright and freshman Jasmin Varela each finished with one goal. Freshman Geneva Kiefer was credited with a pair of assists, while senior Jailyn Turner and junior Ruby McGrath each had one assist.

The Bears (3-4 overall, 3-2 in league) will host Muir High of Pasadena for a league match on Jan. 4 at 3:45 p.m. before hosting Glendale on Jan. 9.

BURBANK

The Bulldogs lost to visiting Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta 5-0 in a Pacific League match on Dec. 21.

Burbank (3-3-1, 2-3) will visit Hoover High in Glendale for a league match on Jan. 4 at 3:45 p.m. before traveling to Muir High in Pasadena on Jan. 9.
