A man allegedly brandished a machete toward a female victim in a garage near 550 N. 1st St. at noon on Sept. 6. He later made threatening statements at the jail directed at the victim who was notified and was fearful for her life. The man was booked for brandishing a deadly weapon and was placed on $50,000 bail.

A woman was arrested after she struck her boyfriend during a verbal argument while they were in bed at 2:50 p.m. on Sept. 10. The victim did not sustain injuries, but the woman was arrested for domestic violence and was placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers were contacted by concerned witnesses to investigate a man in a parked car near Burbank Boulevard and Griffith Park Drive at 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 5. Police located the vehicle and discovered a man in the passenger seat of the vehicle, and a nitrous oxide tank and balloons were observed in plain view. The man was arrested for narcotics violations and placed on $500 bail.
