Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Witnesses called the police after observing an incident where a male suspect allegedly threw a cell phone at a female victim’s chest and pushed her to the ground twice at 1:04 a.m. on Aug. 21. The man was arrested, and his bail was set at $20,000.

Police arrested a man after they contacted him for acting suspicious near Ikea Way and Verdugo Avenue at about 3 a.m. on Aug. 15. They observed the man wearing dark clothing, a facial covering and carrying a bag while loitering near closed businesses. He was detained pending a burglary investigation, initially refusing to stop for officers. Further investigation revealed that the man was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun. The man was arrested on firearms charges and for resisting arrest. He was placed on $35,000 bail.

A man was arrested near Orange Grove Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard after he threatened to fight a victim who allegedly refused to give him drugs at 7 p.m. on Aug. 19. He was charged with destruction of property and possession of narcotics. His bail was set at $500.
