Regarding “Council OKS Mariposa Project Amid Public Objections” (July 29), there is another very serious concern over the proposed development, formerly Circle K Riding Stables at 910 S. Mariposa: EV lithium battery fire in the underground parking. Has this risk been addressed? Where will charging stations be? Is the fire department equipped and trained to handle such an event? What about the tens of thousands of gallons of water needed, the toxic fumes and run off, the intense heat and [the chance of] the fire spreading?
