BPD Officer Charged With Fraud, Perjury

First published in the April 23 print issue of the Burbank Leader.

A Burbank police officer is scheduled to be arraigned next month on criminal charges stemming from an investigation into claims of insurance fraud and perjury, the Burbank Police Department said this week.

In March 2021, the agency initiated a criminal investigation involving officer Angela Feco. The department then presented the investigation to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for prosecutorial considerations.

On April 13, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and charged Feco with five felony counts of insurance fraud and attempted perjury. She is scheduled to be arraigned in court on May 31.

Feco has been employed by the department since October 2011. She was placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of the criminal case and subsequent personnel investigation.
