Pharmacy Burglars Convicted

The Superior Court of California convicted three men responsible for a spree of pharmacy burglaries in Los Angeles County, including in Burbank, last week.

Multiple pharmacy burglaries occurred in the cities of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena between June 2019 and January 2020, according to the Burbank Police Department. The suspects, the department added, would break in overnight and steal hydrocodone and promethazine with codeine.

After an investigation, police identified three suspects believed responsible for the burglaries, arresting the first man at an Inglewood hotel in February 2020. Investigators found evidence, the BPD said, linking the suspects to the burglaries.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged the suspects, whom police identified as 28-year-old L.A. resident Brandon Bradford, 24-year-old Riverside resident Desmond Sims and 18-year-old L.A. resident Rayquan Florence, with five felony counts of burglary and two felony counts of attempted burglary.

The three men appeared in court on March 15 and were convicted. Sims and Bradford were sentenced to 32 months in prison, while Florence was sentenced to 24 months in prison.
