Burbank Star on All-CIF Girls’ Basketball Team

Burbank High School junior Karen Casillas, who helped lead her girls’ basketball team to a stellar season this winter, was selected to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 3A team, it has been announced.

Casillas averaged a double-double with 15.1 points and 13.2 rebounds per game, while adding 3.9 assists per game as the Bulldogs advanced to their first CIF playoff quarterfinal game in a decade. They finished the season third in the Pacific League standings with a 5-2 record (14-8 overall).

“Karen is one of the hardest workers I have ever [come] across. She found a passion in basketball and has been thriving with it,” Burbank head coach Kristopher Jabourian said.
