Burbank Arts & Education Starts Spring Fundraiser

The Burbank Arts and Education Foundation is raising money for the Burbank Unified School District to bridge the funding gap caused in part by the state’s budget deficit.

In 2023, BAEF gifted more than $100,000 to BUSD students through its grants program, supporting STEM, arts and music, career technical education, libraries, student safety and wellness and other programs.

The foundation will announce its spring grant recipients later this month and is currently pushing to raise funds for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. These grants are not possible without the generous donations from  BUSD families and the Burbank community, the foundation said.

“California’s budget deficit has put even more pressure on local school districts to do more with less,” said Superintendent John Paramo. “BAEF strives to help bridge the funding gap to create a bigger impact on student lives every year and fulfill their mission to invest in meeting the diverse educational needs of every BUSD student.”

Paramo encouraged the BUSD community to join him in investing in Burbank students’ education to “make this their best spring campaign yet.”

Those interested can make a donation at burbankartsanded.org.
