Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers were contacted regarding reports of graffiti on a building located on N. Lake Street and W. Olive Avenue. Officers responded at 7:07 p.m. on Sept. 6 and located two suspected gang members who were later arrested for the vandalism. The two suspects were placed on $20,000 bail.

A man was reported to have struck a retail manager and brandished a knife at Barney’s on Sept. 7 at 8:40 p.m. Officers arrived and apprehended the suspect, who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication. He was placed on $30,000 bail.

An 83-year-old woman was physically assaulted by her 47-year-old son, causing her great bodily injury at 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 8. Police were contacted and they quickly located the man at Riverside Drive and Griffith Park Boulevard, arresting him for felony elder abuse and placing him on $50,000 bail. Emergency protection orders were granted to the woman.

Police were informed of two subjects sitting in two different parked cars at 1200 Flower St. at 5:30 on Sept. 9. Officers arrived and observed narcotics in plain view. Four subjects were arrested for possessing more than 50 counterfeit $100 bills and narcotics and each were placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers responded to a call for service at a dealership located at 3721 W. Burbank Boulevard regarding a forgery in progress at 8 p.m. on Sept. 10. The man was arrested for attempting to purchase a vehicle with fraudulent information and placed on $20,000 bail.

A victim contacted officers at 1:08 a.m. on Sept. 11, stating she came home to her door being barricaded at 3601 W. Verdugo Ave. She believed that a man, who has a restraining order against her, barricaded the door. He was contacted inside the home and placed under arrest for violating a court order and a warrant.

A woman came to the front counter of an impound lot on 200 N. Third Street at 4:45 on Sept. 12 to retrieve her impounded vehicle. BPD completed a records check and observed an outstanding warrant for the subject. She was placed under arrest and transported to the jail. During the booking process, an ecstasy pill was located inside her fanny pack. She was placed on $1,000 bail.
