Raising Cane’s opened in Burbank on Tuesday after months of delays and schedule changes. The opening saw a line of vehicles stretching down Olive Avenue. The popular chicken-finger restaurant has faced scrutiny from residents living in the adjacent neighborhood who expressed concerns that traffic could spill onto their streets, with the city and Raising Cane’s still facing a lawsuit over Burbank’s issuance of the restaurant’s building permit. Burbank Police Chief Michael Albanese said the eatery is paying for on-duty, off-duty and retired police officers to manage traffic flow and keep cars off residential streets for the next three weeks.
