In response to a letter writer’s answer to the revenue problem in Burbank Schools, I see two problems with their solution.
The first problem is another tax in Burbank that would further increase the cost of housing in Burbank, such as a parcel tax.
The other problem is that with less students, some jobs and programs need to be cut unfortunately. If the Burbank school system was a private one, this one would be the first thing to happen.
On a much lighter note, I agree with a reader’s opinion on Chris Erskine’s columns. I look forward to it each week.
