Burbank Blanks Beverly Hills

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team blanked host Beverly Hills 1-0 in its season opener on Nov. 14, as Raymond Soukouzian scored the deciding goal from 16 yards out.

The Bulldogs picked up a 4-1 victory over visiting Schurr High of Montebello in a nonleague matchup on Nov. 20. George Atallah scored twice, while Grigor Parian and Erik Antanesyan each added one goal.

Burbank tied host Hart High 2-2 in a nonleague contest on Nov. 18, as Jose Morales and Atallah each scored.

The Bulldogs (2-0-1 overall) will visit South Pasadena for a nonleague match on Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. before hosting Royal High of Simi Valley on Nov. 30.


The Bears will open the regular season hosting West Ranch High of Valencia on Nov. 28 at 3:45 p.m. Burroughs will then host Schurr High of Montebello on Dec. 2 before opening Pacific League play against visiting Glendale on Dec. 5.
