Mullins Appointed to SCAG Committee

The city of Burbank appointed Councilwoman Zizette Mullins to the 2023 SCAG Community, Economic, and Human Development Committee on Oct. 23.

The committee studies issues of regional significance that affect community, economy, human development, and growth, including, but not limited to, assessing housing needs. It is also responsible for reviewing projects, designs, and programs for consistency and conformity with applicable regional plans.

“I’m grateful for the privilege to join SCAG’s collaborative efforts at the city and regional level to enhance the lives of our Southern California residents,” Mullins said. “The opportunity to make a direct impact on the vitality of our communities is an honor.”

SCAG is a Joint Powers Authority under California state law, established as an association of local governments and agencies that voluntarily convene as a forum to address regional issues. It is responsible for developing regional plans for transportation, growth management, hazardous waste management, and air quality. For more information about SCAG, visit scag.ca.gov.
