Bulldogs’ Struggles Continue Against Muir

The Burbank High School varsity football team was shut out at Muir High in Pasadena 41-0 in a Pacific League game on Oct. 13.

Junior Joseph Caballero completed one pass for 5 yards and also rushed for 47 yards on 13 carries. Senior Marcus Ojeil rushed for a team-high 49 yards on six carries, while junior Jacob Mendieta had four carries for 28 yards. Sophomore Thomas Adzhemyan had an 8-yard carry, senior Levon Bakmazian had a 5-yard catch and junior Max Kelley had eight carries for 4 yards. Senior Brandon Elizalde rushed for 3 yards on three carries, while senior Abraham Zyada had a 2-yard carry.

The Bulldogs hosted Pasadena on Oct. 19; the game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. Burbank (2-6 overall, 0-3 in league) will face rival Burroughs High in the “Big Game” at Memorial Field on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.
