The identity of a pedestrian who was killed Wednesday after being struck by a Toyota Prius in Burbank has still not been released publicly.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:07 a.m. to the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway, just west of South Buena Vista Drive where they found the victim in the second lane of the freeway, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The pedestrian, whose gender, name and age is not known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash closed all lanes of the westbound freeway and the Buena Vista onramp for several hours while the CHP conducted its investigation.
