The Burbank Presbyterian Church is in the middle of hosting its BurbankPres Summer Concert Series, an eight-week event taking place on Sunday evenings, on the patio outside the church building, located at 521 E. Olive Ave.
The series started on July 9 and will run through Sunday, Aug. 27. Music themes so far have ranged from contemporary jazz to a jazz-funk genre style of music.
The family-friendly weekly event starts at 5:45 p.m. and ends at about 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a beach chair and purchase refreshments for a donation off of the The BurbankPres café cart.
The vision behind the series is to engage the neighborhood through music and to provide spaces for talented musicians to express their love for performing.
