Burroughs’ Acosta, Providence’s Lopez Make All-CIF Team

Burroughs High School senior pitcher Kelsey Acosta ended her high school career with a terrific season to earn a spot on the All-CIF-Southern Section Division IV team.
In the circle, Acosta hurled 11 complete games and four shutouts in 24 appearances (18 starts) to finish with an 11-8 record and a 2.39 ERA. She struck out 118 batters in 108.1 innings of work. In the batter’s box, Acosta batted .343 with an .869 OPS, four doubles, one triple, seven RBIs and 10 runs scored.

PROVIDENCE
Freshman catcher Delailah Lopez was selected to the All-CIF Division V team after an outstanding offensive campaign.
In her first varsity high school season, Lopez batted .577 with a team-best 1.533 OPS. She led the team in home runs (two), hits (41) and run batted in (34) while adding 34 runs, seven doubles and three triples.
