I had to laugh out loud reading Paul Herman’s quote, “I am not the type to bend the knee,” regarding being in compliance with the vaccine mandate.
It’s a good thing that he wasn’t around in 1966 when I was drafted into the Army, vaccinated, had my hair shaved off, trained as a combat rifleman and sent to Vietnam (1968-69). You quickly learn that you are a part of a unit, a community, for mutual health and safety.
Besides, those drill instructors in basic training get you to “bend your knee” pretty darn quick.
