Bears Fall at Arcadia; Bulldogs Win Big

The John Burroughs High School varsity boys basketball team recently fell at Arcadia, 59-32, during a Pacific League game on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The Bears picked up their second nonleague win in as many days over host Los Angeles Dorsey, 68-62, as junior TiJuan Lumpkin posted a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds last Saturday. The day before, Burroughs defeated visiting Castaic, 73-64.
The Bears (11-7 overall record, 3-4 in league), ranked No. 16 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3A, are expected to visit San Pedro High for a nonleague game on Saturday, Jan. 29, at noon.

BURBANK
The Bulldogs routed visiting Los Angeles CALS Early College, 89-21, during a nonleague matchup last Saturday. No individual statistics were reported to the Leader.

Burbank (6-9 overall, 2-5 in league) is scheduled to host North Hollywood Oakwood in a nonleague game on Saturday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m.
