Elevate Burbank to Hold Free Multicultural Arts Festival

Elevate Burbank will host its third annual Multicultural Arts Festival, “Celebrate Burbank,” on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2400 Empire Ave.

“Elevate Burbank is excited to bring a diverse array of performers and artists to our community,” said Linda Bessin, Elevate Burbank founder and board president. “We hope our neighbors and friends will come out to support local art and culture.”

The free festival will feature local performers, artists and musicians, including Conga & Co., Colombian Carnival, Trío Corazón Huasteco, Ukrainian dance and much more.

The event is also set to offer a community art creative zone, food trucks and a kids’ zone with face painting and musical craft. Select local vendors and nonprofit organizations will be in attendance to share resources for the community as well.

Elevate Burbank is a local nonprofit dedicated to promoting the understanding of cultural diversity within the city.

Festival sponsors include state Sen. Anthony Portantino, L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Christopher Rizzotti, Sphere, UCLA Health, Ocean Path Advisors, Isabel Omero, Veggie Grill, Catalyst Post Services, Trader Joes, Chili Johns, Worthe Real Estate and Run Out Groove Records.
