Colony Theatre Reels in Writers for First ‘Scripts and Sips’

The Colony Theatre announced that the inaugural presentation of its new playreading series, “Scripts and Sips,” will take place this fall at The Colony Theatre.

“Scripts and Sips” is a program that gives local writers a platform to hone their playwriting skills alongside like-minded scribes.

“The Colony Theatre is proud to establish a pipeline for the development of new works and the artists creating them,” said Heather Provost, Colony Theatre director.

This playreading series will also give writers an opportunity to share, hear and develop their work among fellow creatives, while also receiving input from an audience.

The program is funded by The Burbank Community Arts Grant.

Interested participants have until the May 31 deadline to submit their scripts for reading at colonytheatre.org/scriptsandsips.

First published in the May 4 print issue of the Burbank Leader.
