Community Workshops Slated for Parks Master Plan

The city of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with RJM Design Group, is conducting a series of public engagement and outreach workshops to help identify and determine the needs of Burbank residents and stakeholders regarding future improvements to city parks, amenities, facilities and recreation programs.

Information gathered during this process will guide the ultimate vision and development of a city Parks Master Plan. The City Parks Master Plan will identify local community needs and offer specific recommendations to support the local community.

A series of in-person community meetings and outreach opportunities will take place on the following dates:

• Workshop No. 1: Wednesday, March 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

George Izay Park in the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Ave.

• Workshop  No. 2: Wednesday, April 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Verdugo Park in the Mary Alvord Recreation Center, 3201 W. Verdugo Ave.

• Workshop  No. 3: Wednesday, May 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

McCambridge Park in the McCam-bridge Recreation Center, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd.

During the workshop presentation, results of the community outreach processes will be prepared and posted on the project website Burbankca.gov/CityParksMasterPlan. This website will be a hub for community collaboration and meaningful two-way feedback. The community will have the opportunity to provide direct comments via a “Feedback” button on the website at any time for the duration of this project.
