City Declares May 12 Anne Frank Day By Outlook Newspapers - May 22, 2023 Share FacebookTwitterWhatsApp At a May 9 City Council meeting, Mayor Konstantine Anthony (left) proclaimed May 12 Anne Frank Day in Burbank, honoring the life and legacy of Frank, a young Jewish girl who kept a historic diary during the Holocaust. Olivia Prince (middle) — whose birthday is also May 12 — was credited in helping to create Anne Frank Day in Los Angeles and Burbank. “On Anne Frank Day I hope students all over Burbank will learn that their voices are powerful, and that they can stand up against injustice whenever they see it,” Prince said during the meeting.
