BPD Looks for Suspects in Magnolia Park Burglary

Police are looking for 10 people involved in a Thursday burglary that saw suspects crash a truck into a high-end retail store, costing store owners thousands in losses.

“On May 11, 2023, at about 1:45 a.m., Burbank Police responded to 3500 West Magnolia Boulevard, The Magnolia Park, regarding a report of a business burglary in progress. The owner called and said he saw, via live surveillance video, a dark-colored pick-up truck deliberately crash through the front entrance. Multiple suspects entered the business, ultimately exiting with thousands of dollars of stolen merchandise,” BPD spokesman Sgt. Brent Fekety told the Leader.

According to Fekety, officers searched the inside of the business and the surrounding area but did not locate the suspects. However, the officers did locate the truck used to ram the security door of the front business, which was parked on the street near the business. Further investigation revealed the truck had been reported stolen.

“Investigators are reviewing the surveillance video and are trying to identify the suspects,” Fekety said.

The owner is conducting an inventory to determine the loss, which is estimated to be more than $70,000.
