The Burroughs and Burbank high schools recently competed in the CIF-Southern Section Division I prelims at Trabuco Hills High in Mission Viejo.
Quiana Laughlin finished eighth in the girls’ high jump with a 5-02.00 mark while also taking eighth in the long jump with a 17-06.25 mark. Isabella Galustians finished 22nd in the girls’ 3,200 with an 11:37.76 time while also placing 23rd in the 1,600 with a 5:21.64. Jailyn Turner (15-05.50) took 28th in the girls’ long jump, Ofelia Lighthill (101-01.00) finished 26th in the girls’ discus and Dilan Webster (19-11.00) was 30th in the boys’ long jump.
Ogden Lucsik placed fourth in the boys’ pole vault with a 14-00 mark while Kai Sebastian finished sixth in the boys’ long jump with a 21-11.75 mark. Sophia Maliwanag finished 23rd in the girls’ high jump with a 4-10 mark while also placing 31st in the triple jump with a 32-11.75 mark. Joshua Jimenez (45-03.00) placed 23rd in the boys’ shot put, Joshua Michael Jimenez (122-01.00) was 26th in the boys’ discus, Ryan Bragg (17.39) took 36th in the girls’ 100 hurdles and Ricardo Mujica (4:30.46) was 43rd in the boys’ 1,600.
