Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A suspect was taken into custody by Target loss prevention officers at 1800 W. Empire Ave. at 6:30 p.m. on April 4. In addition, officers reported that they found narcotics in the suspect’s vehicle. He was arrested for petty theft and drug charges and booked on a $1,000 bail.

Officers responded to a possible DUI incident after a driver allegedly entered the Warner Bros. parking lot at 4000 Warner Blvd. without permission at about 3:38 p.m. on April 7. Officers attempted to conduct a DUI investigation. The driver was allegedly uncooperative and refused all tests, but based on the driver’s signs of alcohol intoxication, he was arrested for DUI. While being treated at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, the driver allegedly kicked and spat on officers and multiple hospital staff. He was additionally booked for threats of violence and assault on a police officer and given a $100,000 bail.

Police were contacted at 2 a.m. on April 10 after a driver reported a truck swerving on the 5 freeway that exited in Burbank near Washington and Winona avenues. The truck was located, and a DUI investigation was conducted. The driver was subsequently arrested on charges of DUI and booked on a $15,000 bail.
