Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A juvenile female and a male entered a Macy’s located at 200 E. Cypress Ave. and allegedly stole $1,040.38 of merchandise at 2:30 p.m. on March 7. The store’s loss prevention staff told police that they contacted the suspects outside of the store, where the female allegedly punched an employee in an attempt to get away and the male attempted to pull away from another loss prevention employee. Reports say that suspects drove away before being stopped by police. Both the suspects were arrested for violation of shoplifting and placed on $20,000 bail. The merchandise was recovered.

A man was arrested for grand theft at 1:40 a.m. on March 10 after he allegedly entered the old Gun World building on Magnolia Boulevard and Buena Vista Street and tunneled through the side wall to enter the next-door business, Jewel Gallery. Once inside, the man reportedly disarmed the alarm by smashing the alarm panel with an unknown tool. Once he exited the building, he was taken into custody in the rear alley and placed on $250,000 bail.

Officers responded to a call for service after a suspect allegedly shoulder bumped his girlfriend and then threw tomato sauce at her at 1:20 a.m. on March 12. The boyfriend was booked for domestic violence and placed on $20,000 bail.
