Holiday Tree Curbside Collection Is Underway

First published in the Jan. 7 print issue of the Burbank Leader.

The city of Burbank will be providing their annual holiday tree curbside collection through Friday, Jan. 27.
Residents may set out their holiday trees on the curb for collection on their regularly scheduled trash collection day, at no additional cost.
The Solid Waste and Recycling collection agency is asking residents to remove all ornaments and decorations from the tree before setting it out for pick up, and to cut any trees more than 6 feet tall into segments to assist with the collection process.
Tree drop-off stations will be available beginning Monday, Jan. 9 through Jan 27 at the following locations:
• Ralph Foy Park, 3211 W. Victory Blvd.
• Verdugo Park, 3201 W. Verdugo Ave.
• McCambridge Park, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd.
Alternatively, residents may cut their trees into pieces and dispose of the cuttings in green carts.
No curbside pick-up or drop-off stations will be available after Jan. 27.
