The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team shut out host Hoover High in Glendale, 1-0, in a Pacific League game last Thursday, as senior Giancarlos Vitery Suman scored the winning goal.
Sophomore Rigoberto Garcia started the scoring sequence by stealing an inbound pass from Hoover followed by textbook passing to set up Vitery Suman’s scoring opportunity.
The Bulldogs (6-3-1 overall, 2-1-1 in league) will host Pasadena in a league game on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3:30 p.m.
BURROUGHS
The Bears edged host Pasadena, 1-0, in a Pacific League game last Thursday, as junior Dominic Quijada scored the deciding goal.
JBHS (6-3-1 overall, 2-1-1 in league) will host Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta in a league game on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3:30 p.m.
