Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers were contacted about a woman allegedly causing a disturbance in a hotel parking lot on North Buena Vista Street at 12:25 a.m. on Dec. 6. They noted that she displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The woman was arrested for public intoxication.

A man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman and taking possession of her cellphone at 1:20 a.m. on Dec. 7. The victim said she attempted to leave the apartment multiple times, but the man used physical force to prevent her escape. Officers were eventually contacted and placed the man under arrest for domestic abuse. His bail was set at $20,000.

A man and woman allegedly stole approximately $250 worth of items at Walmart on North Victory Place at about 8 p.m. on Dec. 9. Officers located both suspects, who were arrested for theft and were each placed on $1,000 bail.

Police were contacted after a man entered a restaurant on the 1000 block of Isabel Street and allegedly pepper sprayed several victims. He was located by officers in the area at about 7 a.m. on Dec. 10, and subsequently produced a machete, using it to allegedly threaten law enforcement. The man eventually complied with officers’ orders and was placed under arrest for battery, obstruction, felon in possession of pepper spray and am outstanding warrant. His bail was set at $25,000.
