Adventist Health Glendale is pleased to share that once again we’ve received an “A” grade in patient safety for fall 2022 from the Leapfrog Group, one of the leading patient safety watchdog organizations.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses more than 30 national performance measures to produce a single letter grade representing a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors. This grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
This “A,” our 16th in a row, represents a long-standing commitment to providing the safest, highest quality care possible to our patients, their families and loved ones and is just one of several quality awards that we have received in recent years.
We’ve also received five stars (the highest possible rating) from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for the third year in a row, been named among the best regional hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and are recognized among the top 250 hospitals in the country by Healthgrades. These recognitions put us in elite company, as few hospitals in Los Angeles, the state of California and even the country have attained these recognitions multiple years in a row.
We would not have achieved these successes without the commitment of our physicians, nurses and associates who ensure our patients receive the best possible care in a safe and compassionate environment. Maintaining our elite status, particularly through the global COVID-19 pandemic, is a testament to their service to our communities.
And of course, we could not be successful without you, our community, patients, their families and loved ones. The trust that you place in us for your health care needs, and the needs of those you love, is both astounding and incredibly humbling. You are the reason for our mission — to inspire health, wholeness and hope — and we thank you for your ongoing confidence, support and love.
