The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team improved to 3-0 after blanking host La Cañada, 1-0, to pick up their first shutout of the season on Tuesday.
Senior Gabriel Mier scored the lone goal in the nonleague matchup to help the Bulldogs remain undefeated in the early portion of the season.
Burbank will host Alemany High of Mission Hills in a nonleague matchup on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 3:30 p.m.
BURROUGHS
The Bears blanked visiting Brentwood School of Los Angeles, 3-0, to pick up their second consecutive nonleague victory on Tuesday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Burbank Leader.
JBHS (2-0 overall) will host the 29th annual Ralph Brandt Tournament, which runs through Saturday, Dec. 10. The Bears will also open Pacific League play by hosting Glendale on Friday, Dec. 9, at 3:30 p.m.
