Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police arrested a man at 5000 Woodman Ave. after he threatened to stab a victim with a knife at about 3 p.m. on Oct. 4. The victim was unharmed, but the suspect did slash the victim’s tires. The man was booked and placed on $50,000 bail

A man was arrested after fighting with a repossession truck driver at Santa Anita Avenue and Sixth Street at 2:05 a.m. on Oct. 5. The driver specified to police that he did not intend to press charges, but consent search of the revealed his possession of stolen credit cards and narcotics. He was booked and placed on $1,000 bail.

Officers were contacted regarding a shoplifting in progress at 1302 North Victory Road at about 10 p.m. on Oct. 6. The man exited store with $1,002.38 worth of merchandise. Officers assisted as an employee contacted male outside of the store. The man was arrested for grand theft and using a stolen credit card and placed on $50,000 bail.

Officers responded to vehicle burglary activity. Officers located three suspects at a nearby gas station at Victory Boulevard and West Magnolia Boulevard at 5:50 a.m. on Oct. 7. The suspects were arrested for burglary and drug charges and placed on unknown bail.
At 12:20 p.m. on Oct. 8, after stalking a tenant for a month, a landlord forced his way through an adjoining apartment wall in an attempt to attack the tenant at 3820 W Victory Blvd. Officers were contacted and responded to the scene. The man fled and barricaded himself in his home. Officers observed a suspected firearm inside the suspect’s residence. SWAT and the Crisis Negotiations Team responded, and the suspect was eventually arrested and booked for burglary and stalking without bail.

A woman struck her boyfriend during an argument at an undisclosed location at 9:43 a.m. on Oct. 9. Responding officers observed no visible injury. The woman was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence. No bail was specified.

Officers responded to the Empire Center Target for a theft in progress at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 10. The suspect was arrested for attempted theft and outstanding warrants. He was placed on $500 bail.
