Burroughs Seniors Celebrated at Commencement

The 610 members of Burroughs High School’s Class of 2022 were lauded for their achievements at Memorial Field during a celebratory commencement ceremony on May 26.

After the graduates filled the field and performances of the Pledge of Allegiance and “Star-Spangled Banner,” Associated Student Body President Juleanne Reader gave the welcome speech.

After introductions, Kaylee Hirsch, Kyle Lester and Samantha West gave the salutatorian presentation followed by the valedictorian address by Luca Schaefer.

Sophia Carter gave the reminiscence speech, Noor Fahs gave the farewell speech and Matt Chambers gave the principal’s speech before Superintendent Matt Hill presented this year’s senior class.
